Bill's Photo Album

Photos from London (August 11-15)

Finally I get to London! This is my last stop before returning home. I stayed with my friend Jon while I was in London. This is him in St. James's Park.

The first place I visited in London was the Tower of London. Lots to see there, including of course the Crown Jewels. I got there very early in the morning, so it was great, I could visit anywhere in the tower with no lines and stay as long as I wanted.

Westminster Abbey is another must-see. It's a strange place, lots of kings, queens, and assorted famous people are buried there, often right under the floor you are walking on! Unfortunately photos inside are not allowed, so I only have this photo of the back of it.

Big Ben and the House of Lords was across the street from Westminster Abbey.

Here's Trafalgar Square, in front of the National Gallery. A really good art museum, seems to be about as big as the Met in New York. I think that Lord Nelson is on top of the column on the left, but he was too small and too high up so I didn't take a picture of him.

Me in front of Buckingham Palace.

Finally I took the train back to Paris, where I got on a plane to America!
